Deacon training
Jim Henry deacon training video studies
Video studies from Sampson Resources — kits, streaming, and workbooks for the local church.
Jim Henry
Jim Henry served 28 years as senior minister of First Baptist Church of Orlando and two terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He pioneered video deacon training — the first course of its kind on tape — and still speaks to churches that want deacons who serve with the pastor.
Growing in Character and Commitment is the character series: wisdom, walk, word, wealth, wife, and watch. Partners in Ministry and Growth is the companion on purpose, people in need, and supporting the pastor. Many churches run Hunt first, then Henry.
