ABOUT DR. JOHNNY HUNT

DR. JOHNNY HUNT, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia, is well known across the United States not just as a pastor, but also as a mentor of ministers and laypeople.  His Timothy-Barnabas Pastor's School that began in 1994 with 47 pastors and wives has now grown to over 1,200 in attendance each year.  His annual "Super Bowl Weekend" conference for men held at First Baptist Woodstock, has grown from 400 in 1993 to over 8,500 in 2008.  In addition, he does multiple men's conferences and leadership schools for pastors and lay leaders throughout the country each year.

Dr. Hunt received the bachelor's degree from Gardner-Webb College in North Carolina, the minister of divinity degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and two honorary doctor of divinity degrees.  The Chair of Church Growth at Southeastern Seminary was named in his honor in March of 1997. n After pastoring three churches in North Carolina, he sent to First Baptist Woodstock in December of 1986 when it was running 275 in attendance.  Today it runs over 8,000.  Dr. Hunt and his wife, Janet, have two married daughters and four grandchildren.
