A Personal Word...
Dr. Hunt says “Staff leadership is paramount, but
volunteer leadership is priceless!” And the fact is, if it
weren’t for men and women stepping up to serve as leaders in our
churches, church as we know it would not exist. Volunteer
leaders probably outnumber paid staff members 100 to 1, maybe
more. And they need to be trained, motivated and appreciated.
Dr. Hunt says in the workshop that his target audience is
teachers, directors, deacons, women’s and men’s ministry
leaders, ministry interns, staff members, pastors, missionaries,
youth workers…everyone, really, who wants to serve the Lord in a
better way. And he also says, “This workshop is for me, as well.
I work on these nine areas myself! Constantly! I need to be
better and do better in my service for the Lord!”
He goes on to say, “In the church I pastor, our ministries exist
and advance on the backs of men and women who want to make a
difference with their lives. My job as pastor is to love them,
encourage them and invest in them so they can “be better and do
better for the Kingdom.”
